Finding Profitable Niches

Finding profitable niches is the key for a successful Internet Marketing Campaign. So how do you go about finding these profitable niches? Wealthy Affiliate has a kick ass guide on 'Finding Hot Markets and Keywords.'

First, what is a niche?

A niche can be defined as a specific segment of a market. For example, if you want to sell a Labrador Dog Training ebook, your product caters to a niche- The Labradors dog owners.

Why is a niche market better than a general market?

Simple, the more specific your product is, the better the chances of being successful in promoting the product. Though that may not be true always, as a newbie or someone with limited resources, it is always better to target hungry niches.

Just to illustrate my point with an example- say you are a merchant who sells fancy dress costumes, advertising or writing articles or building your websites around the term 'clothes' would be too general. The term clothes refers to a number of items ranging from everyday wear to the most expensive party wears, which is certainly not your market.

Since you specialize in the market- fancy dress costumes, you have to tailor your content, your ad campaigns around the term, fancy dress costumes.

You need a very good keyword tool to find out the most widely searched terms related to your keyword- 'Fancy Dress Constumes' or even better, 'Halloween costumes'. The best keyword research tool, I highly recommend is Word Tracker.

Word Tracker has a 7 day free trail offer. Once you use Word Tracker, you will never let it go simply because finding the right keywords can make the difference between a successful and a failing Marketing campaign.
